What Ferblanc supported in 2023

Professor Neil Scolding, Gulu University, Uganda (also University of Bristol)

The Ferblanc Trustees are very pleased to support Professor Scolding’s project entitled “A proof of principle study in rural Uganda of a novel infectious, global, polio-like illness, Acute Flaccid Myelitis, establishing a cross country research network”. Funds agreed are £36,900 and the project is due to commence in Q1 2024.

Dr Aravinthan Varatharaj, University of Southampton

The Trustees are also delighted to support Dr Varatharaj’s “Study Using Novel Longitudinal Insights to Guide Head Injury Treatment (SUNLIGHT)”.

The project is due to commence in May 2024, and a sum of £22,270 will be funded by Ferblanc.
